White sandy beaches! Great place to go and relax for the day. Easy to reach located right off of 98. The water here is super warm and depending on the day it can be super clear or super green hence the name The Emerald Coast....More

From the sunrise to the sunset...it's picture perfect. During the early fall is much less crowded with young tourist. I prefer this time. Try dining at Brotula's Seafood House & Steamer in Destin during your stay! The view of the Harbor is perfect! And the...More

We enjoyed our time together at Okaloosa Island. We had never been to that location but had been further east in to Destin, Sandestin & Hwy 30A, which is our usual destination. Being that it was off season, the beach wasn’t so busy so we...More

We enjoy getting away to places that are less commercial/touristy and more on the quiet side. Okaloosa Island fits that well. Close enough to go to Destin if you want to shop or do the "tourist things," but plenty to keep us happy right there....More

Clear emerald color water. Able to see the fishes swimming around your feet. Better than Panama City beach and Destin. Also more quiet and less crowd. The best beach on gulf coast area with close to hotel and restaurants.

Whether you are a local or visiting, there is no place better to spend your time, than on Okaloosa island. Time seems to stand still when you are out on the sand or in the cool refreshing waters of the Gulf of Mexico. The waves...More

I am soooo lucky! I live here! The Okaloosa Island beaches are among the best in the World. White sand that just brushes off. Emerald color warm water. The Gulf is gentle, not rough like the Atlantic. As a teenager, I lived at an Atlantic...More

I think the Henderson inn in Destin is outstanding. They have a gorgeous big pool and spa as well. You might try AIRBNB and VRBO (vacation rental by owner). Have a happy wedding, and God bless you! You'll love Destin!

I think it’s an off and on thing that isn’t predictable. We have been there and had no problems and then been there and had a few bad days. Overall you can’t beat the white sand and green ocean no matter what!!
