Stopped by Gainesville on way home from vacation to visit UF. We have no connection to UF but thought it would be interesting to see a SEC campus and place with so much sports and academic renown. We were not disappointed. UF is a huge...More

UF is a good university with outstanding athletic programs and a few nationally recognized academic programs. The city and campus is too crowded and can be difficult to maneuver around.

While we were in Gainesville, my mom and visited the UF campus a few times to see the landmarks...and even to try the Hare Krishna lunch. We found the campus to be so beautiful, the students very friendly & helpful, and experiences so enjoyable!

UF is a great school to go tour and look around the campus. There is always something to look at and something to see.

College of Veterinary Medicine Tour is a great experience. We learned about admissions and the facilities.

Scenery was beautiful The building we went into was new and modern. We did not walk around and look at 100 year old buildings. How do you get to UF? Study, Man, study!

I was part of a touring team and was shown around the University more for tourist purposes rather than as a prospective student. It is rather a large and diverse university.

A great place to walk, run or jog if you are in the area. The campus is definitely old Florida and complete with brick buildings, oak trees and hanging moss. Beware of the Gators!

Spent some time in Gainesville with Gators. If would be student, would love to spend here college years. :)

Visited many SEC stadiums and nothing special about the swamp. This stadium and campus has nothing on T-Town. RTR!!!

I do not know of a shuttle. Please be aware that Orlando is two hours away so don't take a taxi as it would be very expensive!

The University will give out visitor parking passes which allows you to park in the parking lots and the garages. This is not an option on game days however. UF is a non motorized campus so no cars directly on the campus.
