The trails here are very nice. Not too long for the heat. Great crab viewing. Very nice lookout tower that has an elevator to the top. The highlight was the pontoon boat tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and narrated the tour very well. We learned a lot about the local nature. It was only $5 for adults and $3... More

Some in our family went on an early morning fishing trip. The rest of us found this hidden gem. This park is run by the local government and costs $2.12 per person. For this fee, visit the Visitor's Center to see several animals from the mangrove and watch the movie to learn more. There were 3 easy to traverse boardwalks... More

Loved taking the boat out to see all the animals. The paths you can walk are filled with animals & beautiful vegetation. Enjoyed the museum.

My kids 4,6,9 loved it! We walked there over 2miles from our hotel. While we were walking up to the parking area 2 big iguanas walked up on uz and ran away, my kids were super excited. We missed the boat tour, so call ahead and find out what time they are setting out for their 30min boat tour. We... More

Just got off the wonderful guided boat tour with Captain Al. We learned all about the estuary, the different mangrove trees and types of animal life living there. Tour times vary with the tides so call ahead. The museum has an aquarium and the feed the fish Sat and Sun at 2pm I believe. There is a nice movie and... More

We spent a half day here exploring nature in South Florida. We saw thousands of fiddler crabs. The exhibit hall is very educational. This place is worth a visit if you are in South Florida.

The visitors center had a butterfly garden out front and interesting sea creatures exhibits and tanks, including skeletons of seahorses and a large scorpion. Full snakeskin (including its eye sockets). The Lookout Tower (elevator or walk up) is a must - wonderful views. The 2.5 mile hike across the street is mundane, tho - just a long, looping gravel road.... More
