Great place to educate your kids as well as yourself. This is a rescue operation for birds in the area usually damaged by our human presence in their environment. This place does a great job caring for these animals and need our help.

This facility and the staff have their hearts in the right place - rescuing marine birds and rehabilitating them. But the place is run down. They are making some improvements though. The voluntary donation doesn't generate enough funds for significant repairs. But requiring an entrance...More

This is a wonderful center that helps rescue birds. I had no idea that there were so many different species of birds in this area. My favorite were the white pelicans, much larger than I expected to see. They also have owls and vultures. No...More

We stumbled upon this bird sanctuary by accident. We really enjoyed walking thru. It was feeding time and that was cool. It is a small place but really interesting. From what I understand they are funded 100% by donations. Definitely worth checking out.

The Seaside Seabird Sanctuary in Indian Shores does a fantastic job with the birds and with educating the public on the hazards humans create for seabirds. We came in from the beach, followed the paths around the cages and read all the signs describing the...More

They have several types of birds that are cool to observe close up. The pelicans are particularly hilarious. Note, however, that it is kind of run down and smells terribly. Not a lot of people stop there so most of the time you get the...More

Another place that is tucked away and easy to miss. The price is right since it's free and they just asked for donations. Lots of needs water birds, some being rehabbed and lots of wild ones nesting in trees. Good place for bird lovers

Would be a bit of a long walk. Take the trolley that runs all day long, or nice long walk on the beach. Easy access from the beach. Well worth the visit!
