This is a delightful little hometown history museum. There is much to be seen here, from a look at the dinosaurs to the peddlers and swampers who made the area grow. Oh, and the fact that Elvis Presley made his early Sixties movie "Follow That...More

I'm not sure what draws me to the old courthouse in Inverness. I don't think it's Elvis so it must be the architecture of the building. The courthouse adds some interest to the skyline of the downrown area. We also enjoyed walking this area of...More

Every time I stop and go through the displays and reflect on the history of Citrus County that is incorporated in the museum, it just blows me away. Love the gift shop.

We enjoy sitting in the court yard. The building is beautiful. I have drawn it many times. Would like to do an oil painting. Don't forget to walk around. There is the theater and many restaurants around.

Local history and some really interesting facts of this area of Florida. They also have very nice music venues during the year with local professional artists.

Recognizable from Elvis' movie, Follow that Dream, the courthouse is often used now for concerts and other special occasions. Downstairs a tour of the County history is updated periodically. A typically small town center, it is surrounded by various restaurants and the Valerie Theater.
