I have reported this closed as the franchise retired, so don't expect to be able to rent canoes or bikes in Riverbend Park. The nearest place to rent on the Loxahatchee river is in Jonathan Dickinson state park, but you can't access the prettier meandering...More

No longer operating out of the riverbend park - all the information on the website is extremely misleading. Called ahead and there was no mention of the changed address, so we spent an hour searching the park. Called and they lost their license to operate...More

I rent kayaks here and travel the river quite frequently. It's a lovely place to go and you can kayak under and wonderful canopy of trees. There is much wildlife to see if you take your time and are very observant. Alligators aren't always easy...More

I got in a kayak shortly after the 8 AM opening, and had the water to myself. No alligator sightings, but the area was nice enough. There's also bike and horse riding in the same park. One $30 rental entitles you to stay on the...More

This is my new favorite place to kayak. My husband and I did the easy/moderate route of the "lakes". There is so much variety to explore and unlike the Jonathan Dickinson park route (which we've also enjoyed), this area provides more opportunity to explore narrower...More

Rented Kayaks. First of all, this is a fun trip. Getting the Kayak from the old guy in the trailer took some time. In addition, for $30.00, the kayak and paddle were old. Lastly, the map which Canoe Outfitters provides is absolutely useless.

Well organised, reliable bikes (with optional basket on handlebars). Mono paper map a bit cryptic but large colour maps and signs all over the park so don't worry about a route...just cycle around and you won't get list. It's not that big.

I had wanted to do this for a long time but couldn't get anyone familiar with canoes to go with me. Then my younger brother (64) came to visit and said he's experienced and would like to do it too. So we rented the canoe...More

Rented 2 kayaks for my 12-year-old grandson and me. Very good service, well-kept kayaks, nice trip up the river. My only quibble: the paper map they give you gets wet and disintegrates after the first 10 minutes of the trip. Sure would be nice to...More

Not sure what canoeing down the Amazon feels like, but going north on the Loxahatchee River might be the next best thing. Lots of shade. When the water is high, going north, is a beautiful experience. However, it is a technical river. There are hairpin...More
