$2.50 pp entry fee to access this nice beach and picnic grove. Well worth the price if you are looking for a beach day. Bit of a walk or bike ride if you don't have a car, but one of the trolly companies goes there. Nice bathrooms but no food sold there. Good view of the cruise ships in port.

Best Beach in Key West. It is a state Park, so small fee to get in. Parking was close and convenient. We rented chairs and an umbrella, took our towels. Lots of shaded areas and picnic tables. Nice little restaurant for snacks. Good clean bathrooms.

Well worth a few hours when you are in Key West. Learned quite a bit about the history of America's coastal defense and Key West itself. There is also beach access in the park. There is a fee ($5-$10) to enter the park.

This park hosts a small sandy beach and the fort. There's plenty of picnic spaces and the fort hosts great views of the cruise ship dock and potentially ships. The beach has great views of sailboats coming and going. It's very peaceful, fun, and relaxing.

After Fort Jefferson on Dry Tortugas, this fort seemed to pale in comparison. To be fair, we didn't spend a lot of time here -- it might have been more interesting if we'd taken the time to tour properly.

This is a very nice self guided tour. Do some research before you go, there are no Park Rangers to assist you. The placards give a little info, but not enough. This could be a very good site to develop a history of the area.

We walked here from Southernmost Resort. We are so glad we went. When you are walking past the fort, you might think you made a mistake, but keep going! One of the most stunning beaches I have ever seen. Bring a portable hammock an set up between two palm trees. It's a unique spot - must stop in KW

We were surprised to see that this was actually the best beach in Key West. A must see spot! Rent a golf cart to get around👍

Very pleasantly surprised by the hidden gem we have missed on other trips here. Guided tours starting at 11:00 am daily is the way to go. The guide is very knowledgeable and we had a resident Civil War re-enactor who added to the educational value of our tour. If you are on your own there are plaques to read. Definitely... More

Nice small beach and moderately priced snacks/beverages. You can rent chairs/umbrellas/snorkels/fins. Beach is very rocky so I'd recommend water shoes or sandals.
