If you want a perfect view of the KW sunset without all the crowds and chaos of Mallory Square, go to the Fort. Entry fee is about $5 which is much less than parking in downtown KW. Bring your dogs and a picnic supper. Awesome!

We got there with our bicycles. There is a good amount of shade/picnic tables or you could pay and get a lounge chair/umbrella for $$. Clean fun place to go in for a dip. It is rocky - so beach shoes make it pleasant. Clean...More

This is a great place to chill, do a BBQ, sunbathe, swim see a sunset etc. They have nice food too just in case you can without any. They also have a shower which is a really needed.

It takes some finding but rent some bikes and pay $2.50 per person to use the beach and facilities at this park. They are immaculate and spread out. You can even splurge and for $30 rent two lounge chairs and an umbrella.

We were escorted on and off the base. Was not allowed to get off. I am not sure if there are tours or not.

Sorry, can't help you, but I too enjoyed those lovely trees at Fort Zachery. I'm hoping that lots of places in the Keys come through with out great harm.

Yes lots of parking, but really filled up quickly on the Saturday we were there. A different perspective on the actual fort - you need to take a few minutes to explore the fort. Worth the time. Have fun!
