Duval Street is a very interesting area. I would recommend renting a bike to get around. It kind of remind me of Bourbon Street in New Orleans, just not as nasty. I had a awesome time there.

I get to Key West a couple of times a year. Being from Wisconsin, it's nice to get out and see something different, and Duval always delivers. A bit edgy, full of characters, from cross dressing burlesque performers to purveyors of high end art masterpieces...More

If you like loud music, drinking and seedy places, this is for you. I put the Duval St in the same category as New Orlean's Bourbon St. Something to see once, but no desire to stay long or return at a future date. They do...More

First trip to Key West and I hope not my last. We visited Key West after the hurricane and just about everything was open or getting ready to open. Stayed a couple of blocks off Duvall St. which was great, everything was within walking distance....More

But a very busy place in the winter season. Don't even try to park here, it is impossible. Such a tiny island can not contain the amount of traffic it has. This is a good place to walk the shops before sunset on the dock.

This is the epicenter of so many things to see and do in this town. You will never run out of bars, restaurants, or tourist shops. If you look close, you will even find shops of high quality. Day or night, this is the place...More

If drinking is your thing you do the Duvall Crawl. If drinking isn't there are plenary of shops and restaurants on Duvall. You get to see a little bit of everything on Duvall. Good place to people watch!

It is a perfect day trip up the keys! Be aware traffic can get heavy, but that is something we do every time, all the way to Islamorada!

I would suggest staying in a middle key like islamorada or marathon. The hotel rates are more affordable. I usually stay on islamorada but I stay in very basic motels. I spend most of my time outside anyway! I would suggest... More
