We booked a half day charter in mid-April & upon our arrival to the dock, the Captain & ship's owner were there to greet us.. Having the owner (Albert) there to greet us on both our arrival & return was a nice touch.

Nothing wrong with staying at a 5 star resort, with high thread count sheets, and hot tubs, and room service. That is a valid way to vacation. However, the real Key West experience is to score the Key West sailing Experience.
