On our way to Key West we stayed at the State Park. The don't get much better then this. Centrally located with great access to Marathon Key. This would have been a 5 star but the bathrooms/showers were being renovated and we had to leave the park to bring our dog to the beach. It was an inconvenience that was... More

This beach is good for fishing, walking, it is not a normal sandy beach, there are some rock spots and lots of shells everywhere. Some man o war jelly fish washed up as well. We had fun looking at all the hermit crabs ,snails and seen a couple sting rays too.

This park is a slice of heaven. I came here with a picnic lunch and had a beautiful afternoon in the mangroves and the sand. The park has several lovely coves filled with marine birds. I had a truly perfect afternoon and the tucked away nature of the park made it perfect for a windy but sunny day. It was... More

This was our first visit but will not be our last. This little gem in Marathon is so beautiful and peaceful. Good foliage between campsites and our site had great shade. We can even see the ocean from our camp- but you can't access from here. Beach is small but almost empty. Only downside-women's restroom/shower under construction and had to... More

My wife were leisurely driving back to Miami from Key West and randomly decided to drive back the road that ended up being the entrance to this state park. What a great detour. We paid the small fee to enter and ended up spending a few hours sitting and walking on the beach. There were lots of small fish and... More

We stayed at Curry-Hammock state park for a week. Were were in site 14 with friends in sites 12 and 5. All of the sites were large, well-maintained, and since there aren't many sites at this state park, they are all an easy stroll to the beach or the lagoon. Curry Hammock is a great place for kayaking and you... More

Curry Hammock is a gem tucked along the oceanside shore of Marathon. They have a nice campground, suitable for RV's. There are picnic areas near the beach. A nice nature walk featuring native plants and flowers. The beach is petty and this is a great place to launch a kayak. Consider this park if you find yourself in the Keys... More

We went paddle boarding with kids. We did a little tour that was fun as we went through mangrove. We saw many funky jellyfish which was fun for the kids. The wind was pretty strong so tough to paddle. The beach is tiny and the water was pretty murky... hurricane Matthew came by two days ago so it may not... More
