Rowing on kayaks on the creek was one of the highlights of our Florida trip. After the excitement of the parks, this was a perfect relaxing afternoon. We had with us 4 children aged 4 to 20 and everyone loved the experience. The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

We drove over to it and parked near the refurbished homestead. It's a bit noisy from the 192 hwy, but nice. We had our picnic lunch there, and then looked at the map to take one of the hiking trails. Well, the map is inaccurate and there are no markers to indicate which trail you're on. We chose the one... More

We took a double kayak on Shingle Creek. It was a beautiful trip. Before we did that however, I asked the people renting the kayaks about it. I admit I was a little nervous. Alligators in the creek and I am going to kayak there?? The people were so informative and set my mind at ease. I'm glad I listened... More

Pity the layout of the pathways didn't follow the river as it's the only interesting part of the park. Not much to see, not much to do, unless you want to kayak. Saw virtually NO wildlife and and plenty of people like us wandering around wondering was there anything to see!!

Shingle Creek Regional Park is a beautiful area to stroll around. It would be beneficial, however, if distance markers were placed along the north side trail. Also, small map handouts of the trail would certainly be helpful.

The park isn't that big and the trails are quite short but it is a nice place to go for an hour just to get away from the hustle and bustle. You can hire canoes and bikes.

We could walk from the Baymont Inn to the Park. Then we found we rent a Kayak and go down a creek about a mile and half and then back. We had 2 hours of paddling and floating in a beautiful park. A wonderful relaxing afternoon. We also saw a Bald Eagle near a nest but no alligators. The staff... More

Shingle Creek Park is an urban park in Kissimmee, Florida at the headwaters of the Florida Everglades. We stopped at the welcome center and enjoyed the historic displays of this area of Florida. Walked the trail both directions. It is a well-maintained wide walking and biking trail. A rental center has kayaks, canoes and stand-up paddle boards. Visitors can travel... More

Visited Shingle Creek twice and walked on the available paths. You can walk (or bike) as little as you like or 5+ miles on paved pathways. Kyaking is also available. We enjoyed watching the planes fly low overhead as we walked along the bike trail.
