There is a very good market with different vendors on Wednesday and Sunday. Have good fresh vegetables and fruit as well as homemade craft items.

The beach is huge. Restaurant by the beach, lots of parking. Beautiful sunsets. The only nightmare is the TRAFFIC!

The Outdoor Market takes place on Coquina Beach Wednesday and Sundays from 10-4. We found some lovely jewelry from a reasonable vendor. There was even a vendor selling kettle corn! Be sure to come. Parking and entrance were free.

We began our walk around 11:00 AM and finished at 1:30 PM. The weather was terrific! Blue skies with full sunshine and blue green water. From the piers that break the waves there were hundreds of tiny fish swimming right next to or underneath. The pelicans were floating gently on the water as if they had no care in the... More

Beautiful miles of sand on this clean public beach. The beach was much quieter five years ago during off-season weeks, but now the word is out, and it is much busier. They have added periodic changing houses along the beach's length - nice convenience. Despite the increased popularity, the area still feels "old Florida."

What I like best about this beach is how clean it is . It's flat , not sloped like some other beaches are in the area . Great to get sunset pictures with the sea oats, palm trees , and life guard stations. They also have a café that serves breakfast and lunch.

Nice long beach with plenty of room to spread out. Easy and plenty of parking. It has a nice market on Sundays.

This beach is one of the best we have visited on the west coast of Florida or on the eastern US for that matter. Beautiful white sand and crystal blue water. We went at low tide so we could walk on the sand bars for shelling. It is apparent there is a lot of pride in this beach. It is... More

This is a very popular beach but is great to visit during the week. While we are here, there is a flea market area on the week ends with loads of craft vendors

Lovely beach/park/picnic setting on the very southern end of Anna Maria Island (across from Longboat Key), Alas, you can't go in the water between the two islands as the current is dangerous, but the other parts of the beach are spectacular. One of the few public beaches in this geographic area - highly recommended!
