Short boardwalk to see a burned relic of a cypress tree and another large cypress; interesting for a nature lover, but uber-boring for most people; kids will be more interested in the playground equipment than the boardwalk! The most redeeming factor is the parking and...More

This park is small but it is great for a few hours away. It has Lady Liberty (a large tree) and of course the remains of the Senator (an even larger tree that was burned down by some lady). It has a great place for...More

This is a nice place to stretch your legs and get a little peace in the woods. The board walk leads you to where the Senator once stood, it's sister tree is nearby.

This certainly was a nice park but missing some big trees. There was one that was fairly large but I'm told an even larger one stood here too but burned down. It is a nice park. Certainly worth a stop if you're in the area...More

Ever since the tree was burned down you really have the option of a playground or staring at a large stump. The playground is nice for kids, plenty of tables, and the grounds are kept up with. The tree itself has been destroyed but I...More

The Big Tree Park, located in central Seminole Country, is a wonderful escape from reality amongst businesses and residential areas. There is an interesting nature boardwalk explaining the native plant and the histories of two huge Bald Cypress trees, one of which was recently burned...More
