About
The "Pass", as locals refer to it, was created by a hurricane on September 27, 1848. A pirate, John Levique, made the first passage through the newly created pass. Hence the name, Johns Pass. Located on the waterfront at Johns Pass, this quaint turn-of-the-century fishing village is Pinellas County's #1 tourist attraction. Over one hundred merchants inhabit the Village with unique retail shopping, a variety of restaurants, the local fishing fleet, dolphin watching and shelling tours, boat rentals, parasailing and jet skiing.

A good mix of high & lower end stores
Nov 2021
The pay-to-park system didn't give a receipt but that's the worst of my experience; it seemed as if it "took" and requires a credit card.

There are lower end gift shops, nicer artistic gift shops and eateries. I was there this past Monday afternoon and it was quiet but it made it easier to shop.

Fun afternoon out.
Nov 2021
John's Pass is a great way to spend an afternoon shopping, eating, or people watching. There are numerous shops to check out including several typical tourist gift shops. There are also several restaurants including Hooters and Bubba Gump Shrimp. We eat at Caddy's which is a local chain and really enjoyed the setting as well as the food and drinks. All parking requires paying for it but there is a parking garage which makes the parking easy and plentiful.

Fun Area to Visit
Nov 2021
Fun place to visit. We strolled the area checking out the shops. Then, moved to the boardwalk where we saw dinner cruises leaving, the day's fish catch cleaned, and many pelicans waiting for scraps. A dolphin was playing in the water. Lots of restaurants here, so we chose to stay for dinner. Parking is expensive where we parked (maybe not all of it is the same), but prices seemed about normal otherwise. We would definitely visit again.

Fun Time
Nov 2021
There are so many things to do here! They offer cruises, snorkeling, and so much more. There are a multitude of restaurants to choose from and beach shops to shop at. The boardwalk was nice and not very crowded.

Went a couple times, a fun area to shop and walk around. I had no trouble finding a parking place either.

Nice area.

We had time to wonder around while waiting for an excursion. Some nice shops but not really my thing.
Kinda cool to see Hubbard’s Marina, Captain Dillon is on Chanel 13. I was a little busy to go fishing today. ;)
Only thing, parking. One machine had a sign that people with a handicap plate or placard didn’t have to pay. The other two in the lot didn’t not. Someone needs to fix that so people that are handicap know that.

Ok, if you have nothing else to do.

This place is a straight up tourist trap. A bunch of overpriced clothing and souvenir shops, and mediocre restaurants. I really can’t recommend any of the restaurants along the board walk, as we didn’t have a great experience at any of them - in fact, one of them served us tilapia labeled as snapper. It’s ok if you’ve got time to kill and nothing else to do, but definitely not a top choice.
