Beach is OK - wide and clean. Not the nicest on the Gulf coast. I liked St. Petes beach better. Going back to Sanibel next year.

Thanks for the feedback! Clearwater Beach has excellent sand - your feet squeak when you walk on it. You might try that out too.

Arrived on Friday fir 3 nights and staying at Madeira Bay Resort. All good so far and the place and beach are lovely. Lots of quirky shops and eateries rather than the usual chain places you often get. Having a great time so far.
