Well as the title states it's a beautiful beach but a far hike, I have bad knees and didn't make it. My husband did and said it's nice but farther then he tough it would be . Paring is not free , it cost 8.00 no matter if your there 1 hour or 8 hours. You can wade through a... More

Several storms have stripped away some of the sand so i recommend sandals if your feet are new to sand walks. Lots of people shell early so if you want to find your special treasure go early. I found a perfect unbroken sand dolllar. We walked across the lagoon shortcut to the beach which is marked by a sign shown... More

Visited here in mid Nov on the advice of our hotels receptionist, good choice. Arrived mid morning on a Sun just after a fun run but still found plenty of parking spaces, we walked past to as yet to open cafe out over the board walk to the lagoon "beach" where there are some water activities you can hire (... The walk to Tigertail beach is quite long. This is not a criticism, more like a warning. If you go first thing in the morning/early afternoon, take plenty of sun screen as there is no shelter or shade. I'm not sure that it is good for swimming as that was a lot of Pelicans and Storks around, which that fish... More

Marco Island has beautiful beaches. Tigertail has a huge expanse of fine, white, soft sand. It can get a bit crowded at holiday times. There are a few parking lots and beach access points, but it is a walk from the lots. Current charge is about $8 to park.

If you wade through the water the gulf is close; much farther if you walk around. Turn right and you can walk for miles. If the tide is up you need to follow a path through the bushes, but a very quiet beach lies beyond. Osprey are common there.

About a 700 yard walk to the ocean. I never seen so many shells. It is quiet and beautiful. If you go to tigertail more than six times buy the monthly pass for 50 bucks. It is 8 bucks a day otherwise. A-- in the chair and toes in the sand :-)

Cross the lagoon onto the beachfront and turn right if you want to be away from the general public. Walk and walk, collecting shells and sighting dolphins & numerous seabirds, until you reach the end of the sandy beach. Fish if you like to. I've caught sharks off the beach as well as ladyfish and snook. Pack yourself a lunch... More

A nice beach situated on the west side of Marco right on the gulf. Sand is nice and a longer walks permit visitors to get away from the crowd quite easily. Water is nice and warm (usually) but can get deep quickly from the shore in a few places and currents vary along the shoreline.

If you don't have a boat, this is the best place to shell. I love the huge, clean beach. The beach front is not "raked" leaving the beautiful shells intact. Beautiful water! We went in March, which is high season. I definitely want to go back!
