New at the island was a hotdog and snack boat. We didn't partake, as we brought our own lunch. This island is always a joy to stroll along and view the inter-coastal waterways on the way and the gulf while on the island. Be sure to make it one of your stops!

When in Marco take a boat ride to Keewaydin you will not be disappointed. The water and sand are pristine. On any given sunny day you may see dolphins!

This spot is only accessible by boat, if your are vacationing, you can rent one for a full or half day. During the week it is generally pretty quite and almost like a private beach experience. During the weekend though you may have a hard time finding a spot to beach the boat. Both experiences are super fun. They have... More

Our family of 6 enjoyed another perfect day on Keewaydin. Our son rented a pontoon boat at Rose's Marina & we spent the day here. A real plus are the food boats that dock & offer a variety of sandwiches cooked to order. The burgers were excellent. Nice not to have to pack a lunch.

What is a lovely natural barrier island has been ruined by excessive use by less than savoury individuals who are amused by excessive drinking, lounging, fast boat driving and loud music. Recent developments of entrepreneurial commercialism enterprises further detract from the true beauty of the area.

Oh my goodness. You won't be disappointed. Rent a pontoon for the day and experience the real treasure of a GORGEOUS and quiet beach. Try the fish tacos from the little food "truck"/boat, too. An absolute gorgeous day.

Keewadin Island is a fun destination for a day trip. It is only accessible by boat. Rentals are available on Marco Island. Anchor your boat on the shore and join the party like atmosphere .Food and drink are usually available from vendors docked on the beach. A short walk across the width of the Island and you are on a... More

This is a wonderful side trip accessible only by boat. The island is beautiful and a great place to pull the boat up and spend a little time whether that be fishing or a picnic or other.

This is such a fun spot. You can only get there by boat. There are even an Ice Cream Boat, a Foods Boat and a Beverage Boat. We swam, snorkeled, spent time on the beach. And, of course, frequented the vendor boats. Just a cool thing to do for something different. We saw a humongous conch close to the beach... More

Not much to add to other reviews. Really fun beach. On the gulf side you can shell and wade way out from the shore and still the water doesn't get to your kneecaps. Warm water, too.
