We got really lucky to come upon three manatee while swimming here. However, the place was filthy with trash everywhere. Fisherman were cutting bait and tossing the remains all over. Cool place, needs to be better cared for.

We did not notice much damage. There were a few guard rails and handrails being repaired but Boat ramps, fishing pier , museum, campground, restaurant and bait shop were all in good repair and open and operating.

We were there before the hurricane, so don't know. I'd call the park or look at their website to make sure. Good luck fishing!
