Captain Gil was a true professional. As a boat owner and amateur fisherman, I can truly appreciate how well he takes care of his boat, his gear and how he fished. I had hoped to try kite fishing and land a sail, but there was no wind. I'll be honest, I had no desire to deep drop fish, thinking it... More

So, I took a friend fishing this Saturday with Gil and I couldn't be happier. My friend wanted to catch a Sailfish, but as we know, catching a Sailfish takes more than just desire. Gil was ready with bait in the livewell BEFORE we got on the boat. His boat was impeccable and the gear we used was top shelf.... More

Fishing with Capt Gil is a great learning experience. Every time I have been out with him I have been more impressed than the last. I dont know how he even spots the sails that i have caught with him but this guy is something else. I have lived in south florida for 26 years and been out with dozens... More

I recently fished with Captain Gil and had a great time!!! I've fished with other captains before but they have not worked as hard as a captain Gil. On this trip we caught 3 sailfish, 2 kingfish, a mutton snapper and a couple AJs. Thanks for the great day and the laughs Captain.

I spoke with gil 5 or 6 times in the months leading up to the trip, across country for my friends and I. We were looking for sport/trophy fishing and not meat since we were doing the rental car and hotel, no real way to deal with a catch besides package and ship it, so photos and catch/release everything. We... More

This is the second time I have been out with Captain Gil. He is very professional and patient. Expert fisher person or novice you will not be disappointed.

I was nothing but impressed with Lucky Fishing Charters and Capt Gil. Professional captain but the trip had the same vibe as when I go out on a friends boat. Capt. Gil obviously loves fishing. I was very impressed with Capt. Gil's willingness to teach me as he worked, which i'm sure made his job harder having to stop and... More

I have been a regular customer of Capt. Gil for a while now. I am local in South Florida and have hundreds of charter choices. Capt. Gil is the only charter captain I would recommend to anyone, either local or from out of town. On our latest trip the word from other captains on the radio was that it was... More

We had never fished with Captain Gil before, but we had been trying to make this trip happen for years, so we booked back to back full day sailfish and tarpon combo trips and hoped for the best. Captain Gil delivered and then some. Our first day out we landed 3 sails, a kingfish, a black fin tuna, and a... More

I've fished with Captain Gil eight times now. He is, without a doubt, my favorite fishing guide. We've all had guides that just "phone in in", but Captain Gil is the exact opposite. He puts tremendous effort to put you on fish, even when no one in the area is hooking up on anything. You aren't just going to troll... More
