Collins Avenue is a lovely busy Avenue with something for everyone to enjoy, the free shuttle bus is a bonus and runs regularly

I stayed on Collins Ave. It is noisy, dirty and blaring music never stops. If you like that kind of environment go ahead, I rather live in a more peaceful environment. Stay away from the hostels in the area, they are all real bad! Not...More

Don't bother paying the extra money for a hotel room on the beach. If you have ever been to Miami Beach you know that your hotel may look over the beach but is not on the beach. There is a strip of reservation and the...More

Collins ave is a great place to stay if you're planning to stay in South Beach. It is centrally located and has lots of shops and restaurants nearby. Also the hop on hop off bus tour stops here.

I guess it's all part of the cycle certain urban areas go through. Many shops and restaurants are boarded up, or empty building in need of a face lift or TLC. Doesn't have the luster of Ocean Drive or the Art Deco area.

We stayed mid-beach on Collins Ave and it was the best of both worlds. It is a quiet location, but close enough to south beach by walking of by the free shuttles. We always felt safe walking around Lots of hotels/restaurants.

If you appreciate Art Deco architecture you will love Collins Ave. in South Beach! My wife and spent 4 days here after a 10-day Caribbean Cruise. We walked about and thoroughly enjoyed the Art Deco architecture and South Beach vibe. The area has plenty of...More

Ocean Drive is the most famous street in Miami Beach, but 13 miles long Collins Avenue must be the most popular/busiest street! Endless opportunities to eat, drink, sleep and shop. So wear comfy shoes and be ready to spend whole day there and then end...More

We didn't rent a car on this occasion but did note that overnight parking at our hotel carpark on South Beach was $35 and even more at some other hotels - but then we're Brits and to us (Post Brexit) everything in Miami and... More

There are affordable restaurants in the area. I'd check with your hotel concierge for suggestions on restaurants within walking distance that are in your price range.
