I was pleasantly surprised to find this museum by accident as I'd heard about it but didn't know where it was. I was waiting for another tour to start (Culinary tours) and just walked up the (Washington) street to pass the time beforehand and found that the Wolfsonian had free entry on Fridays. So after my first tour finished I... More

4 floors of 20's, 30's paraphenalia - massively interesting if you like decor, architecture, art and engineering.

We visited on our final morning in Miami South Beach. We got the "senior" half-price discount and it cost just $5 each to visit. It is a really interesting museum with great exhibits. We particularly enjoyed the furniture, household items and domestic appliances. There are also great posters and graphics from the 1930s. We spent a couple of hours looking... More

Enjoyed 2 hours or so walking around. Although there are 7 floors, they are not all open. 2 floors are ristricted and one has the library, so there isn't as much as you'd think. I think there were 3 floors in the end and then e 1st floor entrance which has a cafe / shop. I'm not really one for... More

This is my second trip to the FIU Wolfsonian Museum in several years and it's still definitely worth a visit. Their permanent exhibit on design is always interesting and their current displays of Dutch design and art are terrific. The building is full of interesting deco and design artifacts on 4 of its 5 floors. The atmosphere is pleasant and... More

A superb museum/gallery with an eclectic mix of art works. Never expected to find a Museum of this quality in this area. Fascinating artworks and objects from all over the world which underpin and succeed the Art Deco era...makes it the perfect position at South Beach. Exhibits are well laid out and labelled. Well worth taking the time to visit.

We have lived in Miami a number of years and this was our first visit to the Wolfsonian. You can pretty much see the whole museum in 1-2 hours so if you have time to kill or want to get out of the rain or heat for awhile then I recommend paying the museum a visit. The museum is laid... More

I have visited the Wolfsonian on every trip to Miami and it always surprises and delights me. The exhibits are beautifully arranged and curated, and I always end with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine in the small but interesting gift shop/cafe. Highly recommended
