    Glamour and History
Janinha Piazetta have an excellent and glamorous adventure that satisfied my desire for more art deco era history. You can tell she is passionate about Miami culture and history. Her story telling is beautiful as she paints a picture of 1930’s and on early South Beach.

A beautiful place to go back someday
Exploring the Art Deco Historic District in Miami was a captivating journey into the city’s architectural and cultural heritage. The district’s iconic pastel-colored buildings and intricate designs provided a glimpse into the glamour of the 1930s and 1940s. Walking along Ocean Drive and Collins Avenue was like stepping back in time, with each building telling a story of Art Deco elegance. Guided tours of the district allowed me to appreciate its history and architectural details, from the neon signs to the decorative motifs. The dedication to preserving the cultural heritage of the district was evident throughout. The Art Deco Historic District is a must-visit for architecture enthusiasts, history buffs, and anyone seeking to explore Miami’s unique blend of past and present.

    Art Deco Heaven
After a very disappointing night's stay over by the cruise port we decided to get brunch in the Art Deco Historic district before catching our boat, in hopes that our stay in Miami wouldn't be a total disappointment. I am so glad that we did. The architecture is stunning, the mood was very relaxed, and the service at the restaurants was wonderful. Very easy to walk and has excellent access to the beach.

Amazing walk along South Beach/Ocean Drive
Nice Art Deco buildings (hotels) to be seen walking through Ocean Drive. Stop at Miami Beach sign to take some nice photos of yourselves and at many shops along the way. We walked at noon, but I reccomend to also go there at night when the buildings are lighted up.

    Fun to walk along
This is a fun area to walk along at night and see all the art deco buildings and old cars parked outside. It felt reasonably safe in the early evening and there are lots of restaurants and bars. During the day the beach is across the road.

I came here to go to the beach and celebrate a big milestone birthday. I should have (and will in the future) done my research of the area. I was left heartbroken. Despite the pretty art deco buildings, the area is in decay and one of the tackiest tourist dumps with overpriced food, and underwhelming cuisine, loud music and touts calling you in to their establishments. Very low end tourist shops. Their 5 star reviews at restaurants are from tourists that they hand same device used to pay for food and ask for generous reviews. Inaccurate reviews so tourist beware. Walking from the Art Deco neighborhood where we were staying at 12th on Collins to South of 5th didn’t feel comfortable during daylight hours, I can’t imagine it later at night. No cute boutiques or interesting cafes. Just regret. If I can spare one person the same heartbreak then this review was for you. Seedy and it’s only for the beach

We learned a lot about the art deco architecture in Miami Beach. Our Brazilian Italian tour guide Janine was passionate and enthusiastic which made the tour five stars.

Was a ton of fun to see the fireworks and watch the party on New Year’s Eve. Very interesting buildings, great parks, and nice walking pathways.

The Gates Hotel was wonderful—loved the private balcony, beautiful pool, and proximity to Miami City Ballet and the Beach. The only drawback was the exorbitant daily parking fee.
