Worth the stop to see some of the areas history. You will see things you do not expect...dinosaur bones? Phosphates, Railroads and Sharks Teeth...who knew. Pleasant staff. Even a “dig” area for the kids.

The museum has an outdoor area where Mosaic, the mining company, brings raw materials from their nearby phosphate mines. The gravel-like material contains prehistoric shark teeth, as well as other prehistoric artifacts such as bones, etc. There is a guide poster outside by the dig...More

If you love history and ancient fossils, this is the place to visit. It was a quick visit but full of information that would explain the processes of phosphate mining and their benefits
