You have to leash your dog but the water is calm and the dogs love it. Swimming and playing in the sand. Frequent sightings of dolphin and manatees. Great walking beach and protected from the wind. No homes overlooking the beach. Bring lunch and they have facilities to shower you and the dog. Very clean beach.

We enjoy taking our dog to this dog park because there is a nice boardwalk that winds its way around the peninsula beach area and once you get to the dog park part of the beach, it's very open with plenty of room to walk around with your dog or set up an umbrella. Unfortunately, dogs have to be leashed,... More

My wife and I like to come here to walk the 1.3 mike walkway leading to the beach. If you don't want to take the walk take your dog for a walk for the exercise. I nice place to be with your animal

One of the best beaches because the waves are much smaller than out at the main beach. Fun to be around lots of dogs. Usually is not too busy. Very beautiful!

This was a great place to take our little Shih Tzu for a walk. She loved it here. We will take her back when she travels with us.

If your looking for a beach for your family and your dog's, this is perfect. Lots of trails and places to explore. Walk a bit farther and find more secluded beaches. Not much shade so bring somthing.

Dogs and kids love this area. There are no waves. Nice white beaches. Be advised all types of dogs will be there, I even saw a person with his wolves once. It's a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the beach so pack light.

A special boardwalk for the dogs after 9am as they are only allowed on the left side of the beach. About as many dogs as people and they were enjoying themselves splashing in and out of the water. Much too hot for the longer coated varieties though especially a thick coated husky I saw suffering in the heat.

Leave your dogs at home in the summer months!! If you love them, please avoid the beach when temps are over 80 degrees. Heat can be DEADLY for dogs. It's too hot!! Dogs are collapsing from heat exhaustion. Heat stroke is DEADLY. Listen to your dog... if he is panting hard and doesn't want to walk he is telling you... More

This is such a beautiful place to bring your dog! It is a very long walk to the beach. It fills up pretty quick as well. Last time we went we saw some dolphins out in the water. Our dog loved it too!
