Nice state park on the east side of Niceville. Right on Rocky Bayou. 10-15min from the Gulf of Mexico and Destin, but you don't deal with tourist traffic. Tent and TV hook-ups. But reserve early.

We had heard that it was a good place to walk your dog so we went to check it out. It was a pretty brisk day, but very nice on the trails. I liked that the trails were very well marked, the people there were nice and it was very clean. Loved being able to walk along the water as... More

We wanted a place to take a vacation and be near Defuniak Springs to get some personal stuff done. We reserved site #2. Let me say that if you have a camper of any type, BE AWARE! The electricity and water ARE NOT together. This is the only site where the water is at the far left corner. We had... More

Our family heads here pretty often for a weekend getaway. It's ideal in every way! Tucked away in the woods, bordered by the bay, you feel like you are immersed in nature. It's very quiet and clean, but lots to do for kids. There's a fun playground, kayaks, and endless places to bike. The kids love swmming in the bayou... More

It was an okay park. Had some nice scenery but found ourselves getting really bored really quick. Still worth a visit if you're in to going to state parks.

Small state park in the Florida Panhandle. Only about 40 sites. All shaded, water and power. Well kept grounds and clean showers and bathrooms. A couple of coin laundry, also. 3 different hiking trails. All with fire pits. Only 1/2 mile to Publix or Winn Dixie. About a mile to Walmart. Lots of restaurants in the area. Go over the... More

We had the 2017 Presidents Day Boondoggle this past weekend at Fred Gannon park. The park was nice and bathrooms very clean (cleaned daily). All sites had water and electric, we were able to launch our kayaks right from the bank by the playground. There are also washing machines and dryers by the bathroom if you run out of clothes.... We live close to park and camp here a few times a year. But this was our first time with rv(vs tent) for $16/night, it's nice. We like the trails, playground and movie screen. But the sites are small with almost no extra parking for your guests. No WiFi, cable or sewer hook ups, but for $16/night it's not unheard... More

We visited the park with our small dog and loved it. It was so clean and well kept. It had plenty of picnic areas, a nice playground, clean restrooms, friendly staff and well kept and marked trails. The only reason I did not give it a perfect 5 star is the lack of parking near one of trail heads. It... More
