Best place to get awesome shells, you can spend hours picking out the best ones, beautiful white sand, might want to wear some kind of footwear for shelling.

We were looking for shells, and there are serious people here with baskets going into the water for shells. We did find a few nice ones. The sand was nice, and it's a good spot to read a book. The water was a little cool,...More

Beautiful, quiet, great parking, change rooms/washrooms clean, go early to get a good spot and take your beach towel to sit in the glorious sand.

You can walk for miles on the gorgeous, unspoiled beach. There were very few people and the was while a bit chilly Feb felt great.

This a huge public beach. If there was a negative, it would be the lack of public parking very close by. However, you can park and walk. The water was chilly, but after all it was January.

My wife and I stopped and spent a couple of hours walking the beach. Many neat shells. Wish we have more time.

The Captiva beach is lovely. It is most crowded at the end of Andy Rosse Lane. Other areas of the beach are almost deserted, which is really nice. That said, I don't think you'll find the quality or quantity of shells that you'll find on...More

It's a pretty beach. Go there for a sunset, as it faces west. Really, what else is there to say, other than you have to pay for parking everywhere on these islands.

Perfect beach to watch a sunset on. Easy parking in a lot nearby and a pristine beach. This beach is one of my most fav places.

Everything seems to be within walking or biking distance. We used the public access three different times and waited an average of ten minutes for a handicap parking place.
