Tour provides lots of information on how Echo works globally and the processes and techniques employed. There are some livestock, but this is not a petting zoo. Very small children may have a hard time with this tour. The tour is on dirt roads and may be not be great for those with limited mobility. The variety of farming methods... More

As a long time volunteer at ECHO, I am pleased to highly recommend a visit to this attraction . You will enjoy a visit which is inspiring, educational, and involves participants actively as they tour the farm. Tropical plants, agricultural techniques, animals and appropriate agricultural techniques are all aspects of the tour that help visitors to understand farming in different... More

The ECHO tour has excellent staff and show participants ways they instruct people in third world countries to grow food. They show people how to help themselves be independent, not just give them food.

Knowledgeable, friendly staff, very willing to take time to educate you. Tour times are limited, so call ahead. Lots of plants for sale, & local honey. Fair trade items for sale inside.

This organization is doing what many set out to do, but few ever achieve. ECHO truly understands how to approach and implement sustainable agriculture and industry improvement - likely because so many of the staff have lived or worked in third-world communities across the world. You won't find idealistic, expensive growing methods here that simply don't work once your feet... More

Good group helping folks with seeds and plants for food that will thrive in hot dry climates. They have guided tours to help you understand just what they are working on, and this is a mostly volunteer effort. They also have plants and seeds for sale.
