Eat Drink - Drink Eat
Aug 2021
World Showcase is for Adults who like to eat and drink. Its not for kids and if you are the type of person who is satisfied with a chicken finger basket and soda you wont like it here either. However, if you enjoy food and beer from different places around the world and want to relax without the kids its a great place. I saw a few children chasing the ducks around for something to do. But know before you go this is the most expensive park. The park tickets are the same as the others, minus the rides, and if you eat and drink around the world (which is the whole point of the place) you are going to spend spend spend$$. Just know what it is before you go

Food & Wine Festival - Disney stop the gouging
Jul 2021
Let me start by saying I am huge Disney fan, me and my family are Annual Pass holders and we love everything about the parks and just the atmosphere of Disney World. So I am writing this review in the hope that someone, senior, at Disney reads it and does something about what I am about to say.
So we excitedly looked forward to visiting Magic Kingdom in the morning of our day and as usual it didn't disappoint, it was our first visit since covid. We were equally excited to go to Epcot for the Food and Wine festival in the afternoon. From the first food booth, Australia, to the last one we visited, Hawaii, we were shocked at the cost of what is basically "sampler" food. Most of the "entrée" dishes were $8 and above the last time we visited the Food and Wine the "entree's" were around $5. An example would be Australia offered a, delicious, single Lamb chop for $8! Really? If that wasn't bad enough I ordered a wine for which I was charged $8.50! When I was given the plastic glass of wine it we literally a thimble full disgraceful over charging. Don't get me wrong the food was, for the most part, really good but pricing was ridiculous for the portions. I heard one person ask the staff if Disney were trying to make up for the last 18 month losses in one year with this pricing, he got a blank stare in return. In total at the booths for very little food and even less wine I spent over $300 in one day and we were still hungry! Whilst on pricing I want to say that the pricing in general is extremely high from gifts to a beer and wine in the English Rose and Crown pub ($38 for a beer and a glass of wine which was at least a proper measure)!
We were looking forward to going back to the Food and Wine when all the stands open in October but frankly I don't think we will return and I am sure we are not the only ones who will feel this way.
Disney management please look at this and get the pricing and portions back to some semblance of normality. We love Disney and want to return to the Food and Wine festival but I dont want to leave as I did last night with a feeling of being ripped off

Flower and Garden show
May 2021
We always ride the rides first then hit the country’s starting at Mexico. But we only ever made it to Japan and just to get a shaved ice before seeing the show. Well this time around we said..no rides only the world showcase. It was the Flower and garden show. Epcot flower and garden has special food and displays of flowers! Just beautiful. We must next time start off the other direction so we can see the ones we never get the chance to see.

I started with a pineapple Fanta dole whip and Violet lemonade at the Flower and garden promenade. The dole whip was good but the violet lemonade that had an orchid was way too sweet.

We ended the night across from this stand at the Flower and Garden Citrus Blossom where we got the citrus braised crispy pork belly with kumquat and carrot, citrus shortcake (orange chiffon cake, lemon curd, mandarins, whipped cream, and citrus crumble), and Islamorada beer company coconut key lime ale, fort Pierce Florida, 6 oz. Family loved the pork belly…guess that it’s an acquired taste since all I tasted was fried fat when I ate the pork belly. I loved the shortcake and the beer though!

At the Flower and Garden Bauernmarket we got the strudel cheese, toasted pretzel, and a potato pancake with apple sauce. These were ok. The strudel was the best!

At the Flower and Garden La Isla Fresca I ordered the tropical mousse which was really good.

At the Flower Garden Northern Bloom I got the beef tenderloin tips, maple pound cake with peaches ice cream maple popcorn and a maple bacon shake that had maple popcorn in it. This was the best! It had some mashed potatoes and I believe little pearl onion. Wow! This location had the best of everything!

Bought a beautiful fan in China…I always do.

Have to make the Flower and garden show a yearly thing! It’s lovely and the food is great! They decorate the food with flowers too!

Skip the Lefse in Norway! Didn’t like!

International Experience
Jun 2021 • Couples
Loved it so much we park hopped to Epcot every day.

We enjoyed walking to and through the different countries. Shopping and eating different foods. It was a little digitized know when you were entering some new country because of no signs but soon able to figure out with map and Disney app.

BRING YOUR PONCHO. We were still able to enjoy it in the rain because of this.

The last ride we did for our Disney trip was awful. Forgot name but was in Mexico next to the restaurant. It started off beautiful with the lights and scene of mountain but the next part went downhill from the scene of Mexico mixed with attempts to be funny and entertaining from the duck character. We felt it was a distasteful replica of this culture. Please renovate!

Also Africa was also very minimal compared to the other countries.

Still had a good experience to help you feel like you went international.

Great visit and good food
Jun 2021 • Family
We were able to book a table for the La Hacienda de San Angel. We were seated right away and may be due to COVID it was not too crowded. Our food was great, my husband got a cucumber margarita and it was so amazing. We will have to google the recipe when we get home. All of our food was delicious I got the Alambre de Res, the meat was tender and delicious. The salsa they bring to the table was a smoky flavored salsa, not my fav, but all in all a good meal.

add Flower and Garden festival to Epcot and you get real vacation magic. So many great drinks and snacks and sights that you can't do them all. Beautiful and sweet topiary!

Honey Bee-stro Epcot Showcase Plaza
May 2021 • Couples
First stop was to try the Tupelo Honey and Sweet Corn Spoon Bread with Jalapeños, Bacon and House-Made Whipped Honey Butter.

It was fantastic. The “whipped” butter however was a hard, frozen lump. The dish was served warm but not warm enough to melt the butter effectively.

Skip if you have young children
Apr 2021 • Family
This park is better for adults. They had some rides but I personally would skip it if you have young children. It has lots of alcohol places (drinks are $$$) and the food was better here. They have a "around the world" food themed area mainly. Nicely manicured but not a lot to do for kids.
