"Disney's BoardWalk area contains more than 90,000 square feet of shops, restaurants and nightclubs. It encompasses Crescent Lake and is ""a village on the water"" near many Disney Resort hotels in Walt Disney World Resort. This quarter-mile entertainment, dining and shopping area is also conveniently close to 2 Disney Theme Parks. With sherbet-colored building facades, striped awnings, rising columns and archways, Disney's BoardWalk is designed after the boardwalks that were famous during the turn of the 20th century along such coastal cities as Coney Island, New York and Atlantic City, New Jersey.Stroll along Disney's BoardWalk during the day to explore the unusual shops and restaurants. When the sun cools down, the nightlife heats up with street performers, food vendors, midway games and lots of live entertainment.

We stayed at the Dolphin hotel so took a fun ferry ride there and then walked (5 minutes) back. Had some ice cream and explored. Gorgeous place!

It helps that I have DVC time here, but it's one of my favorite places to stay at Disney. The Boardwalk comes alive at night and is good to stroll along anytime.

We head to The Boardwalk area every time we are in Orlando. It can be a nice romantic spot and end the night with Epcots fireworks. There are many choices for a drink or if your hungry they have dozens of restaurants to choose from.

We pass through the boardwalk area often and have eaten at several of the restaurants (Yummo!!). The whole theme of the boardwalk is peaceful and reminds me of times at the Jersey shore way back when. As locals, we come here for Prom pictures with...More

We opted for something with a kitchen as we don't like eating out for every meal.
Does this place serve alcoholic beverages or is it just a place to dance?
