I've been here once before, and I'm always pleased by the amount of detail put into the exhibits. If you're a FL native, you'll learn a great deal about the state. If you're a visitor, you'll be entertained by the NASA and Disney exhibits. There's lots of interactive stuff to keep everyone busy. And if you're a Bank of American... More

My husband and I visited this museum on a warm weekday in July. It was a perfect way to get out of the heat for a bit and learn about Florida's history. We were thoroughly impressed with this relatively small museum. We were offered FREE audio equipment to inform us as we moved through. We spent about 2 hours just... More

This museum is the history of Orlando. Have kids? Young or Old? Perfect place to visit as it's exhibits are interactive. Love the way they tell the story. Plus, it's affordable.

A perfect dash of salt to counter overly sweet Disney World/International Drive Orlando. Displays an authentic side Florida and an Orlando before Disney World which visitors today probably have no idea ever existed. However, recommended only for those who appreciate museums and history - others will find it boring.

Being a Florida native it was great to see what made Florida what it is today. Low key and can be seen for in a couple of hours. Great for an afternoon to get out of the heat in the summertime. School group was present while we were there and the museum is big enough where they really didn't get... More

If you have nothing else to do, and you want to get a feel for history, then go to the Orange County regional history center. If you have kids, then don't go, they will be disappointed after going to the parks.

Beautiful building. Court house on second floor. Ballroom on fourth floor. Heart of downtown Orlando.

This place is especially fun if you've lived in the area for a long time. I was here before Disney, so this place brings back a lot of fond memories for me. The earliest exhibits are from at bout 12,000 years ago, and go up to present day stuff. A fun part is the wall of '100 iconic places in... More

Been coming to Florida and Orlando for years but like many have never bothered to look into the history of the area. Well worth a visit to rectify this, exhibits are well laid out and give the history from dinosaurs to Disney. On my visit there were a number of well behaved local school parties, the guides kept them engaged... More
