This is a small rescue home for wild animals who can't be released back into the wild. Run entirely by volunteers, you walk around and get to see bears, tortoises, tigers, up close. They have got a super collection of tigers, and unlike zoos where they are behind glass, here you can hear them roar! Not a good place for... More

This is an incredible facility staffed by all volunteers. All animals in the facility are rescued from many bad situations. It is incredible to see the bond the volunteers have with the animals and how well they are cared for. The only bathrooms are porta-potties but the experience is worth the inconvenience.

I loved reading the stories of all the animals. I have been to big cat refuges before but never one with all kinds of animals like this one. We saw lions and tigers and bears!!! (not kidding) Only drawback for me was that I got bitten up by no-see-ems while in the shade.

This place is well worth a visit. The work they do is all on a voluntary basis and well worth the $10 admission. The animals are obviously well looked after and it's so heart warming to see people helping animals that have had a rough life. There were a lot more animals than I expected, the staff were really friendly... More

The animals here all have such sad stories so be prepared. But they seem happy here and well-cared for. You will be surprisingly close to them. We saw a grizzly take a swim and then play with his toy. We saw a tiger playing on a pipe. There were only 2 other families visiting so it was peaceful.

With the purest of hearts, the owner has chosen to house, feed and provide a "retirement home" for all of these beautiful animals. So many various stories of how they ended up here...go and enjoy and learn. Appreciate the stories of each and every one of these "retirees"...hopefully be inspired to contribute to the never-ending task of finding food and... More

The Octagon Wildlife Sanctuary is the last stop for unwanted wild animals. You will see everything from white tigers, lions, bears, monkeys, a black panther, alligator, peacocks donkeys and much much more. All of the animals were 'pets' or work animals at one time and became too much for the handlers. Each animal has a name and story of why... More

You must come and support this center! An absolutely wonderful place run by the most friendly people. You can truly see just how much they love these animals when you see how happy and content they are as they play or lazily lounge in their cozy "condos" (as I like to think of them as). We loved when one of... More

This is not a zoo! This is a wildlife sanctuary. Cash or check only. This sanctuary is run by volunteers. All donations go to the care of the animals. See white tigers, bears, a black leopard, birds, orangutan, panther, fox, etc. These animals have been neglected, abandon or seized. They live out their lives in the sanctuary. The experience is...
