This is an amazing place where exotic animals can be rescued, cared for, and live out their lives. It is not a zoo; the owner, Laurie, and the volunteers love these critters. There are many tigers, lions and bears, but also smaller animals to watch...More

I was so glad we visited this place. It gives one hope to see such compassion for abused animals. This is Not a zoo. They call themselves a "nursing home" for abused animals who were born in captivity and can not live in the wild....More

Very clean cages and the volunteers were working really hard and obviously cared for the animals. SO heartbreaking to see them in this environment after being so mistreated by their previous owners.

Grandsons were visiting so we thought we'd go have a look at the sanctuary. It is very low key and run mostly by volunteers that work hard to keep the cages clean and the animals well cared for. Mostly bears and tigers but some others...More

We arrived early before the gate was opened. This was not a good idea because we needed to park on the side of the road. There is literally no place to go off the road unless the gate is open. We always wanted to visit...More

Had a great time visiting with the animals. Areas are very clean and you get very close to all of the animals. Walking around took about an hour but it had lots of shade. Those volunteer caregivers do amazing work. Take the time to read...More

We were so glad we went over to see this. This is really a place that is an act of love. We saw bobcats, tigers, lions, bears, peacocks, monkeys and turkey vultures. Go early in the summer due to heat.

What a special place....I didn't even complain about the 90 degree heat. So many beautiful animals given a new, loving way of life. Wish we had lots of money so we could really support this wonderful haven. It's a must see when you're in this...More

This is where wild animals are taken care of when their owners no longer can tend to them. It would be unbearable on a very hot day because all the cages are outside in the direct sunlight.

It is out of the way near Babcock ranch. The displaced animals are all in cages and it was both wonderful and depressing to see these mistreated animals finally being cared for. Worth a visit if you're in the area

The website - on the Home Page - has to the top right of the screen "No Pets Please." I'd imagine they would not allow them, even zippered in. Even though the sanctuary animals are in enclosures, you are close enough to... More
