Nice place if you like a hike. Trails are really trails between 1 mile to 1 1/2 miles long. Seen some wildlife including gators but it was midday so I am sure they were hunkered down from the heat. Visitor center was nice and cool. Centrally located between trails.

My friend and I visited here two different times and taking different trails each time. We saw armadillos, owls, alligators, eagle, turtle. Take the time and enjoy creation.

I've taken the family here for years. When they were real young, we would just stop by to have a quick picnic to see the birds, alligators, and huge bugs. Now we are mapping out the Nature Walks. Bug spray is a must; we will be back soon for some local Ecotherapy soon. :)

This is an experience that you do not want to miss ! This place is just like being out of the busy world for a while. Beautifully managed, the trails will take you to the deep vibrations of Southwest Florida. It is Nature's Way all the way. Take your binoculars and see Nature like never before. A place to be...A... Nice trails. Mosquitos were bad so apply repellent before you head out on trails. We seen a couple of small gators in the ponds/lake and snakes on bridges and in tree's. Nice tropical vegetation. Gates were closed so we had park outside of the gate off of Burnt Store Rd. and walk in and up to trail heads.

We saw eagles, osprey, turtles, plenty of fish and a 6 foot alligator with a youngster in tow. The trails are tropical and well maintained. Friendly staff and very readable maps are a great help. This is not a zoo so be careful. Awesome visit.

If you like hiking it is a great stop. We didn't see much for wildlife except a few misquotes. The trails are well marked. Even though we did not see anything really we did find foot prints in the soft dirt and we would identify them as we walked. I was with my 2 young grandsons (8 & 5). They... More

Very disappointed with what we found upon arrival. Based on reviews, sounded like a good choice for seeing nature. Guess we aren't into hiking enough to enjoy!

My wife and I went here based on the Tripadvisor reviews. Uhm....it was ok. We walked every trail here and saw a few birds, a school of fish and two butterflies. Glad it was free. It was very muddy and it hadn't rained in at least four days so wear appropriate shoes. It was a nice way to spend a... More
