We walked here from our hotel, it's a bit of a trek, we came through Bayahibe town and walked down quite a busy road and found the entrance to the park - where you wouldn't expect it to be at all. It cost about £4 for entry, it was a nice peaceful walk through the park but pretty overgrown and nothing very special until you come to the cave - what a treat, very beautiful - take a good torch. There are bats in the cave and it is full of beautiful clear water which you can swim in. Headtorches would be perfect - we wished we had brought ours. When we got to the cave we were the only people there, it was definately worth a visit.

Both internally and along the beach this is an amazing, quiet, unexploited place. Just pay the minimal charge to the rangers to go in (local currency only) and take tons of water...

The water was a beautiful blue. We only just sailed by this beach, but it looked like a great place to sit and relax and enjoy.

Drive past all the hotels in Dominicus to the end of the road.Pass through wooden gates signed "Park of the East" onto a driveable track. After 200 yards park up above the beach near a rangers hut. Pay 250 pesos and walk through the forest on a good trail to Cueva del Puente. The cave system is massive and interesting but take torches . Return via the beach trail.
