For an early valentines day I took my boyfriend to explore this state park. He navigated us through the orange trail and saw an otter, black rat snake and some birds. Wildlife seemed scare but the trail was well marked and shaded. I would like to return and see more of the parks beauty as in other reviews that I... More

Withlacoochee Trail is railroad history and a bike rider's love. It was a railway line with whistle markers remaining. You can bike the connections for 40 to 50 miles in this state maintained park.

This is 46 miles or more depending on how much time you want to spend and which connections you want to use. While staying at the Central Motel in Inverness I walked north 2 miles and enjoyed lake views. When I walked 2 miles south from the motel I was in a totally different environment of tall Live Oak Trees... More

Do you want a place to ride a bike? This trail is perfect! There's a lot of people doing it and the trail seemed like no ending. You can ride your bike and no return! Perfect.

Excellent 46 mile rail-trail with lots of leftover railroad history. The original cement mileage and whistle markers remain. It's like the state just pulled up the tracks and laid down asphalt. The south end is more rustic, teeming with wildlife. The north end is in a more populated area and has lots of sites to see, including the Inverness Depot... More

Excellent 46 mile trail, paved that is well maintained. Great for biking, running, walking, or inline skating. Lots to see along the trail. Inverness is a great stop for lunch.

Six friends and I met at the Ridge Manor Trail Head to ride for a couple of hours. There was a restroom and a water station, in addition to a large parking lot. Very user friendly!

Easy access of Interstate 75, wanted to get some cycling in before the high heat. Was originally traveling to Inverness to stay overnight & ride entire trail. Beautiful, scenic ride. Loved the tree covered trail. Will definitely be back again!

This is an excellent trail for both biking and hiking. If you are hiking, don't miss the smaller trails that branch into the wild at the Ridge Manor Trailhead. There is a map of the smaller trails posted at the trailhead. The River Trail is very well-marked (orange) and it winds through the state forest lands. The trail is very... More
