The tour offered lots of interactive activities for young children. We had a 4 year old boy along and he was mostly kept engaged. The tour guide was patient and answered questions. The tour was the most informative tour we had in St Augustine.

It is a National Park and a chance to use your Federal Recreational Lands Pass. The condition of the Fort is exceptional and filled with displays of the life at the fort. Guides are livable to answer your questions and someone is available to give...More

Fort Mantansas is a beautiful historic fort built to protect the southern water entrance to St Augustine. There is a free boat ride from the visitor center across the inter coastal waterway to the fort.

The fort was small but critical for the protection of San Augustine. The fort has been meticulously rebuilt and the building materials were so interesting. The hole going to the top is small and not back- pack or large/tall people friendly. Once on top, you...More

This place was a hidden treasure our Uber driver told us about. The boat ride was awesome, although very short. We saw dolphins and lots of crabs. The fort was a unique opportunity for great photos and our guide was very knowledgeable. I am very...More

The trip to the Fort is Free (by Ferry only) but if it's a holiday weekend, plan to wait an hour to get a ferry. You can hike a bit while waiting. The wait is worth it - don't forget your water, it's hot, but...More

Fort Matanzas was a fort manned by 4-6 men. It was small by the standards for forts, but its job to protect the back door entry to St. Augustine via the Matanzas River was immense. The cannons were position to reach the entry of the...More
