Miles of undeveloped beach, great for long walks, sunbathing, nature study, bird watching, even a little shelling. Too cold to swim while we were there, but this is a place we will visit again when we're in the area. Really nice restroom facilities and covered picnic pavilions -- we brought snacks and made a day of it.

It's worth making the short trip to the end of the Island. This all natural beach is stunning. I've visited numerous times and always see the dolphins at play, it's never been crowded. When entering the State Park I feel like we're entering a whole other world. There is a small entrance fee by the carload, it'll cost you just... More

SGI State Park is one of the most pristine, clean & stunning places in Florida. The Rangers are amazing, family facilities wonderful & a true treasure on The Forgotten Coast.

A beautiful beach, with soft white sand and unspoiled horizons. Even on a busy Easter weekend, after a short walk, I was alone on the beach. The public access areas have plenty of parking, restrooms, and attractive picnic areas - the Gulf at its best.

Beautiful!! White sand, blue/green water. Drove through while on the island, nice place to visit. Plenty of parking areas, walking trails, picnic areas, restrooms. Nice camping area with huge bath houses. We did not camp but plan to visit again. The beaches are amazing. Definitely worth the $6 fee to enter. An amazing, well cared for state park.

I was blown away by the scenic view of the park, its accommodations and the overall experience of just a day drive down the beach. I wish we had come more prepared to stay and sit on the beach for a while. No crowds, very clean, and easily accessible. Wish I had a camper for the camping area, beautiful set-ups... More

Went out to the wilderness area. Highly recommend it. White sand beaches and very few people. Great trail too.

Drove through and stopped to walk the beach. Nice beach and area. There's always areas to camp, ride your bike and picnic. Had some nice shelters. It was well maintained. But to stop and just walk the beach, I wouldn't pay to do it again.
