Sawgrass is a great park for people of all ages! There are boardwalk paths that lead to towers with a beautiful view great for watching the sunset (or sunrise if you're an early bird)! There isn't a ton of wildlife, but you may find some alligators or armadillos! There is also the option of going off the boardwalk and following... More

My husband and I are avid backpackers and we enjoy visiting various parks in each city that we visit. This little hidden gem is a really beautiful park. With the lake providing an array of birds, the alligators and their babies, all the way to the far back of the park that offers a home to armadillos. The landscaping is... More

This park has a nice boardwalk through the marsh and wetlands, and we always see several gators. It's mostly shady, so it's OK to go in the summer. too.

So amazed that Gators were hidden amongst the reeds in the water. It was fun to go for a walk to spot as many as possible

My boys love the outdoors and this was by far one of their favorite (and FREE) stops this year in Florida. We walked the boardwalk, saw a mama alligator with a ton of babies, collected many moths, saw banana spiders, and caught minnows. Fun times

This beautiful park has wooden walk ways through most of the park. I saw birds, butterfly's, alligators, fish and even a river otter. The park is clean and quiet.

Always stop here for some photography when in town. Great variety of birds and other nature subjects in a beautiful setting. Amazing that it's so close to the interstate. Wonderful seeing so many young families taking small children out here to see and experience nature first hand.

Take the boardwalk trail to the left and enjoy a truly Central Florida experience. You'll find the gators only inches away at the first shelter you reach. A little further along you can see Anhinga, Cormorants, White and Blue Egrets and Heron. Don't forget to stay a while and peer into the water for a good look at some fairly... More
