My husband and I really enjoy coming to this park to spot adult and baby alligators. Today we saw many baby gators, and one mother gator right under the boardwalk. We also saw a gopher turtle up close, many ducks and other birds, a few different kinds of turtles in the water, and even a glimpse of a river otter... More

Boardwalk and walkway along the stream are easy walking. Lots of birds: osprey, roseate spoonbills, limpkin, anhingas, gallinule, herons, egrets, wood duck, white ibis, and more. There is an alligator family along the boardwalk. Most of the walks are shady - lots of trees.

Short walks, beautiful Florida scenery. Many Gators and wading birds. There is ample parking. Most of your walk will be on paved paths and boardwalk that is well maintained. Good for people using walkers and wheelchairs. If you are into sketching there are lots of beautiful scenes to draw, paint. It's free too.

It was a lovely day, perfect to be outside. We went midday and there was plenty of parking Don't let the roadwork dissuade you once you get off I-275. Walked down the boardwalk and saw the dry swamp and a couple squirrels. Near one end people were congregating by the side and there was a LARGE mother alligator and over... More

Lovely park and well worth searching for. The boardwalk made for a great morning walk. We saw momma gator and her 20 offspring!

It was a cold and rainy day when we stopped here on the way to the airport, but it was still a very enjoyable walk on the boardwalks to see bird life and even alligators. Saw a large alligator and a lot of baby ones clustered around one of the bridges on a boardwalk loop trail. I wish the day... More

We always love this park for a nice walk in a Florida natural area! Many types of wildlife can often be seen including alligators, armadillos, and lots of ducks, birds, etc. The boardwalks and paths are well-maintained as well as the lookout tower over the lake. There are clean restrooms in a building with some nice displays and also nice... More

Lovely boardwalk in a true Florida setting. Watch for birds, alligators and small mammals. A bit shorter walk, but still nice.

I went here by myself to pass sometime. It's an easy walk and very pretty. I saw a mama alligator and different sets of babies so that was exciting.

Came across this place by accident. It is a nature reserve where you do not have to pay to enter, there are no fixed attractions but it offers a pleasant interlude.... A raised boardwalk through some relatively natural (dry) swamp. A chance to see an alligator, perhaps also an armadillo and the odd tortoise. Child friendly and a pleasant, easy... More
