fun making wine glasses

This was a lot of fun. We were able to make stems for wine glasses and I wish I could have made more. I took my mom and we will definitely be back. They were fun and helpful!

You can choose to create a wine glass, martini glass or beer mug. Katy was very welcoming & she thoroughly explained & demonstrated what to do. We were the only ones in the class so we got plenty of hands on expertise. There is parking on the street and the studio is spacious. They also offer glassblowing workshops that we... More

Though I have not taken a class here (yet), I've been visiting the studio and gallery for about 8 years for openings and special events. I've always been impressed by the variety and quality of work the local and guests artists produce and I'm always fascinated to watch the work first hand. They have beautiful functional and ornamental glass for... More

Very friendly people there. Helpful and never impatient. We all learned a lot and the kids had fun. You need to ask if you want to learn - dont forget that! You wont get entertained but if you ask you get answers.

This was a great way to spend time with family during the Thanksgiving holiday in St Petersburg. We found a Groupon and the 4 of us worked side by side over the torches to create martini, beer, and wine glasses. The beginner class lasts for about one hour. We were the only students and both instructors were very close by... More

I have taken a lot of glass classes and this was a bit disappointing. The instructors should take some time to show students some completed wine glasses before starting and explain a bit more about the color combinations and how to design a stem. Not once did they speak of the difference between transparent or opaque colors. The colors to... More

Togetherness of mind and body is what you get when you work on the glass to try to squeeze, pull, twist, squish and cajole the molten glass until it resembles something like a colorful wine glass stem. My fiancé and I had a great time with the Zen of glass work. Once you are done, the experts persuade it onto... More

Zen Glass Studio is a nice little studio. This studio also has a commercial side which is used to support the art. There was a small gallery with some traditional pieces and pieces more on the dark scifi and insect side. Would recommend a stop here if you are a supporter of the arts as small studios can use the... More

Wow we had such a blast!! Had a groupon to make a wine glass. You're really just making the stem. Very cool process. We went on a Saturday and you have to leave your glass overnight but they're closed Sunday. The owner gave me his personal cell number to call and then meet up on Sunday special for us since...
