Nice local park

I do wish they had a better boat launch as people who live in the area DO use motors on their boats.

We stopped to see Katie's Landing and its a really nice little park with public restrooms, looks like you can drop a small boat, canoe or kayak for $3. There were also a couple of picnicking sites. Its kept up very well.

Great spot to start Kayaking on the Wekiva River. Good parking shady oaks , and decent grounds. Fairly easy to find with google maps.

Nice peaceful place to launch. Back to nature. Highly recommend. Paddle up river then relax on way back down. Saw 1 otter. No gators but sure plenty were there.

I've been kayaking here twice - once with my daughter Whitney and once with my husband Frank. Both times were wonderful - easy to rent and a beautiful river to explore. We will be back!!

With a special guest in town, we settled on Katie's Wekiva River Landing for a guided kayak tour and left with a positive, though not overwhelming experience. Here's why. Four of us put in at Katie's Landing at 8am on a quiet weekend, following our guide as he took us, at first downstream. After a short paddle, we turned off... More

I remember when Katie's was renting canoes, once upon a time. The park remained and after many years, it was given a beautiful facelift. Parking was added and still kept the canoe launch. Great for fishing from shore, birding, watching gators and otters and all kinds of critters. So good to have some old Florida still around. Conveniently located to... More

This is a great place to sit and read a book , have a picnic or even launch a kayak or a canoe. If you don't have kayak or a canoe of your own, I recommend taking a tour with the folks at Adventures in Florida. I have taken that tour and it's a great way to see the wildlife... More

It is a surprisingly nice place. Clean restrooms, picnic tables and a nice beach to put into with the kayaks and some trails you can walk. Plenty of parking but there is a fee for entering by car as it is a FL state park. If you are really ambitious you can kayak all the way down to the St.... More

This is a very nice location to see a bit of Florida nature. Take a kayak or canoe and paddle the tranquil waters and take in wildlife.
