This is a nice beach, particularly for shelling. The only major drawback is a lack of parking spaces. We got there late morning on a Monday and and got the last remaining parking space. I can't imagine what it's like on weekends or over Spring break.

During the day there are a fair number of people; when we biked there close to sunset there was no one! We were alone on the beach for a glorious display of Florida red-gold-purple shading into blue Couldn't have been more beautiful.

Can be tough to find a parking spot, there are time restrictions and you must pay. We found Blind Pass to be a great spot for shelling as well as lounging or people watching.

Nice clean beach with lots of shells and beautiful views. Good parking. No vending special events sure to bring drinks.

Depending upon your expectations, this can be a great beach. Parking is limited; but, with the annual pass the Captiva side is free. Sand is coarse; but, that is largely due to the broken shells over the years. You go there for a spectacular view; the shelling; the surf fishing; the sun rise and sun set; and, the warm Florida... We stopped by Blind Pass on a whim after crossing over the bridge from Captiva only to find a few empty parking spots. On a weekday afternoon in the winter months, finding a spot does not seem to difficult. Since we arrived in the afternoon, we didn't find too many spectacular shells, but I definitely see the potential for great... More

Blind Pass is by far my favorite beach. I have been going to this beach since the early 1960's. There is usually a large mound of shells on the Captiva side of Blind Pass and more shells from October to February due to winter storms. I'm not sure who posted the picture of the shark teeth... but i have NEVER... More

This is the beach to watch those dramatic sunsets. It is wide and flat. Two comments: $4.00 per hour to park at the local beaches is a bit much. We did not know that nudity was allowed on the beaches. Two young women ran naked in the surf while their boyfriends photographed it all!

First visit to Sanibel - Captiva. We arrived before sunrise to shell. Parked on Captiva side and walked across to Sanibel side. Low tide was 2 hours away, but people already in water shelling. Stepped into the water, not deep (below knees), but current swift. Found my first beautiful shell within seconds! Loved having bathrooms & foot shower near-by.
