This is a beautiful area with lots of nice-sized campsites. You don't feel crowded at all, and each spot had neat landscaping. You can walk or bike to the beach, and also have access to kayaking on the lake. All employees and volunteers we encountered were kind and helpful. We have already booked our return visit!

Beautiful walk to the gulf. The Sea grass and rolling sand mounds are worth the trip. The beaches were almost empty, you can pack full day here. The sand is like sugar.

We visited topsail on the off season. This means our car was the only one in the parking lot while we were there. There were many campers however. The tram was not running the time so we made the 1 mile walk to the beach. It was worth the walk. Very nice wide paved path took you through the Florida... More

We spent 3 days at this park in a bungalow which was spacious and had everything you need. The bungalow was the perfect size for the two of us. It was a very peaceful park with great trails and beautiful beach. Quite a walk to the beach but the tram was reliable as far as being there for you when... More

Our first visit to this park and we will be back. The mistake I made was booking late and not bringing the bikes. This is huge park access to the beach is via bike, walk, or tram. The bath house across from site 17 is older but very clean. Some sites paved some clean gravel, all level. Check in was... More

One of the best kept secrets around. Our first time here will not be the last. From the great campsites to the wonderful trails that lead to the beach, you'll not be disappointed.

Gorgeous trails, bike paths, breathtaking beach, camping, plenty of bathrooms... Topsail Preserve is the place you must visit! Every outdoorsman's dream! I saw deer and lots of birds, squirrels, butterflies... paradise! Don't forget to ask the front gate for a map & bring water. Be careful it's easy to lose your way if you've never been before.

Loved this state park! Highly recommended for families and couples. Excellent bike path. Short walk to the ocean. Very shady. RV spots were spaced for privacy.

Maybe I have not been out much ( actually we have) but this State Park offers a tram to the beach. Not only is the park clean and VERY well kept but they will TAKE YOU TO THE BEACH! GET OUT! Our spot was by this cute little pond which was so nice to wake up to. We had a... More
