If you’re a fan of flora & fauna, you’ll enjoy the beautiful gardens at Shelby & the walk through the Banyan trees to the Bay. They have regular special exhibits & also offer classes .

Loved the gardens and the view. It was my first time to visit and I was impressed. The orchids and bromeliads were amazing. The orchid show just started and they are beautiful and varied. The theme of earth, air, wind, and fire is well done....More

Always loved visiting the Selby the orchids and other plants are outstanding. However I deeply feel the tragedy of the stolen fish. I hope they replace or retrieve them soon

This place is a really cool combination of garden and arboretum, with all sorts of trees, cactuses, palms, bonsai, orchids, and bromeliads. Good educational programs for kids and a beautiful location on the bay. Well worth it!

Art inside the manor house OK, lots of neat Florida and other assorted flora, some kid stuff (playground), good half day visit. Don't go if you don't like plants, or don't care about them.

Gorgeous gardens. Beautiful orchids. Fantastic views of the bay. The pants are selected with care. The paths are easy to walk. The smell of the flowering plants is delicious. Highly recommended.

I am unsure, but if he/she is a therapy dog I would that by law they are allowed. The botanical gardens are all outside so I would think that it would be ok, but I would contact the management just in case.
