Fabulous park, very reasonable entry price then an equally reasonable price for the air boat tour. This is not the typical airboat tour, it is a large boat that happens the be powered by a big fan but suitable for young and old alike. Very...More

Spent several hours here viewing lots of gators and a fabulous collection of birds (some enthusiasts even took time to show us a rare Ibis, which really made the visit special). Really good value for the entry fee of $6 per car. We paid extra...More

Myakka River State Park is natural 'old' Florida beauty. The area was teeming with alligators, and birds of all kinds. It was $6.00 per car to enter the park. There are washrooms and plenty of places to stop and enjoy the many trails along the...More

This park is a must see. Don't go mid summer unless you like sweating but the rest of the year is fine. Great alligator viewing in different areas. The boat rides are lots of fun but be warned that you will be getting VERY close...More

To visit Deep Hole, you need a free wilderness permit from the ranger station. First come, first served. The gates open at 8 a.m. it is something to see worth getting one. They only allow 30 permits per day! Hope that helps

We saw a scooter for a handicapped person, but my sense is that a golf cart would not work. You would have to be mobile to enter the boat tour and the walk. Suggest you check with park services for handicap access.
