More
Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

I was looking forward to visiting the Big Cat Habitat and Sanctuary, because it said sanctuary. To me that's looking out for animals not keeping them in small enclosures with part of the roof covered in the scorching Florida heat. Not only big cats but...More

Bring the kids and spend an afternoon here. Watch the Parrot show at 1 pm, it's very cute and a good way to get out of the heat. A nice mix of animals to see and petting zoo filled with goats. Not a super huge...More

I don't go to zoos but this is not a zoo. The owners and managers of Big Cat Habitat love and cherish their animals and it shows. Yes the animals do short performances but at no time do you feel as though the animal is...More

Any place that calls itself a sanctuary, yet has breeding, small enclosure and the animals must perform - is not a sanctuary.
