Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

Amazing animals

This is the family's calling that runs this facility. Obviously love these animals very much. Many baby goats just a few weeks old there that you could feed.

Our visit to the Big Cat Habitat was not what we expected. While it is possible to get close to the animals, watching tigers pacing up and down in a small cage, viewing monkeys swing back and forth in a small enclosure, seeing animals get a lick of food off a stick held by a keeper after they waved at... We really enjoyed our trip to the big cat habitat. Animals are from various situations, rescues, etc. You can tell that the folks who work at this habitat really care for the animals. We watched a parrot show, and the woman was very knowledgeable, and I could tell that she really cared for her birds. Very informative and fun show,... More

Very well maintained sanctuary for a variety of animals - with a focus on big cats. Petting zoo / feeding area with baby goats, emu's and llamas. (Risking nature-lovers' disdain here...) Animal shows aside, you can take in pretty much everything in an hour, which is great if you have small kids, though it may make the price tag seem... More

I live by a nationally recognized zoo, and yet the opportunities to see these big cats are nothing like they are at the Big Cat Habitat. The animals appear to be very well taken care of, and their spaces are nicely done. While some may not approve of the show that is done with the cats, it is truly an... More

I have been twice once last year once a year later. They are always building new and better stuff for the animals. They had at least 8 new habits for the animals . a brand new bathroom with ac and very clean and running water no portable potty any more. The family loves what they do and you can tell... More

Amazing place to visit and support with your donations to preserve this wild life sanctuary. Well cared for, clean and well loved animals. Left with a good feeling that this 9 generation family will continue to do good work on behalf of these fabulous animals.
