Big Cat Habitat and Gulf Coast Sanctuary provides a sanctuary "for life" for the exotic animals currently calling the sanctuary home. Our goal is to create habitats that mimic native environments and are complete with a staff that can provide daily behavioral, sensory, and manipulative enrichment which is the basis for a happy healthy animal in captivity. As we grow and open our habitat to more rescues we will provide the same excellent care while educating the public.

These people know how to treat animals right. They realize that they are not humans, but they are still fellow beings on this earth. The things they can train these animals to do are phenomenal.

This place is amazing. It's family ran and funded off of donations and the money they make from admission fees. The people that work there are very passionate about these animals. They are very quick to educate you about anything you would want to know....More

What a pleasant day spent at the habitat. Amazing how this family has devoted their lives to rescue animals. Highly recommend a visit and donation to help out. Will make this a go to place each year we come to Florida.

A wide variety of large cats, but lots of other animals too! Our 2 year old son loved hanging out with the baby goats, and our 5 year old daughter enjoyed seeing all the different animals. The shows were great - definitely don't miss them!...More

I wrote a true and correct submission to Trip adviser, recently. As noted in the text, were my sources of legal information concerning "Big Cat Habitat". Even though we went to see the Big Cats, we were disappointed. The time was spent on a monkey and some dogs. 1/2 the show was a commentary meant to extract money from a captive audience. Within the sources given, animal rights organizations and years of Government intervention attempts of violations done by Big Cat are a lost cause. My Question to Trip Advisor.....Is it a problem, not to print my submission, under the guise of review? I did my homework and provided the information , so you can do yours. If it is not your policy to tell the truth, then I will only continue to provide nicer things. I am guessing. this will not be printed either.
