We rented bikes and loved the ride. It is peaceful and straight and flat for the most part. There are a few tiny hills and one bigger one over 41. You cross a few small roads, but each time the drivers stopped and let us...More

I've ridden the Legacy Trail from Sarasota to Venice and back. It's a great way to experience the natural flora and fauna of central Florida.

Nice place to walk, run or bike. The only issue to us is as you head north there is little to see. The Venice area / segment is much more scenic.

Nice peaceful trail. However, there is not much to see. However, good place for walking, running, biking, rollerskating.

This is a paved bicycle right-of-way on an old abandoned railroad right-of-way. Easy and scenic ride. This trail is about 10 miles long and connects to another trail at the Train depot for another 4.5 miles.

Having facilities like restrooms , security and fewer spiders needed . Nice on a cool day but in the heat of summer there is no shade . This trail crosses over a bit of road so you must be careful.

The rail trail - which will soon connect all the way to downtown Sarasota - is a delight, with smooth pavement, good signage, and safe road crossings. It is perfect for a weekend outing with a family. The nature that borders the trail is beautiful,...More
