A great place to run about the only hill around Sarasota. This place has a nice view. You can walk the hill or around the lakes. Birds are all over. Good parking and they have real restrooms too. Worth the trip. I went at 3pm...More

Celery Fields is a remarkable wildlife preserve, it really is a hidden gem. We were recommended to go by a neighbour and couldn’t believe that we had not found this a long time ago. There is a hill, yes, a hill in Florida, which gives...More

I live close by so it's nice when I want to do a little walking. You won't notice all lakes when you arrive but as you reach the summit you will be able to see for miles. You can see the downtown Sarasota skyline. There...More

Good for running around. There are different types of terrain. On the other side of the road is a piece of wetland that the county purchased to temporarily store flood water. There are trails and boardwalks around the wetland. Very nice. The Audubon Nature Center...More

Nice hill to climb that made me a bit melancholy for the Appalachians I left behind. Special view from the top. Several different paths to take. We didn't know about the boardwalk which is across the street for bird-viewing...check it out, but go early in...More

This is a great place to walk, as there is a high hill to climb. Not many hills where we are in FL! There is a water area on the South side with a boardwalk. Great birdwatching here!

We drove here expecting to see the "real" Florida and, although it is worth your time, there are better ways to spend time in the wilds of Florida. We saw few birds, no wildlife and no amenities, but we had a pleasant afternoon of silence.
