Siesta Beach is unique. In my life I have never seen a sand as white as that with a consistency of talc. Truly a geological miracle. However there is a problem and can ruin your holidays. As soon as we arrived near the beach we started to cough. We soon noticed dead fishes in the water and other people coughing.... More

One of the best beaches in the United States, beautiful white sands that stretch for miles and miles. A great place to rejuvenate your mind and soul while on vacation.

After so many years of visiting Florida and it's many beaches, I finally went to Siesta beach. We visited on a beautiful weekday in mid January. Plenty of parking. Indeed the sand was beautiful! However, a few consideration to be aware of.... If you have any difficulty walking, this beach may not be for you. To get to the water,... More

I have been coming to this beach for 25 years. It was one of the first beaches my family came to. We did not realize we did the best beach first. I recently went to maui Kapalua beach and found that I have already seen a better beach in Siesta key.

A year later I gave this a second try and stayed longer. The beach itself is beautiful with soft, white sand. It can be crowded on weekends and holidays, but since it is so large, it is easy to spread out. The weather in January was great - mostly 70s dipping into the 60s at night. First few days were... Stopped at this beach that was repeatedly recommended and it did not disappoint. Read that it was the best sand beach in America and I could see why. Simply, a beautiful beach. Enjoyed porpoise playing near shore, a beautiful sunset and the most amazing sand I have ever seen!

This is our fourth trip to Sarasota, Florida. The weather has been phenomenal for this time of the year. Siesta Beach is beautiful, crystal clear waters, white sand and dolphins playing not too far away. Shame about the "red tide"...we started coughing a few days ago, today worse than ever and seen loads of dead fish washed up on the... More

I have been all over the world at siesta key beach to me seems like the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. The quality of the sand is like flour. It is a crystal quartz that is only in a few areas of the world. And it's so soft and clean that you can play anywhere without worry about cutting yourself... More

Beautify white clean sandy beach. I've been to a lot of beaches and this one ranks right up there in the top. Pretty crowded, but lots of public parking.
