OMG! This beach is so nice. The sand is like powder beneath your feet. The water feels like a bath tub at just the right temperature. There are Manatee's swimming with you. How cool is that? A word of advise: Be careful staying in the...More

I can describe it a few words: white sand, warm water (all day, all time of the year), decent waves --- to me, it's a paradise -- noting I have visited many beaches and places around the world.

We love Siesta Key - the sand is white powder. It is simply beautiful. The water is clean and there isn't a lot of debris that washes up in the morning.

I agree it is a nice beach. If this is the nicest beach, then you don't get out much. Be careful with food or snacks. Then seagulls are vicious!

It would be hard to design a better, more beautiful beach...Siesta Beach has everything you need, from white, powder-soft sand to clear, warm water. Heck, you even get pods of dolphins swimming nearby sometimes. My kids love it because the waves are small, if there...More

We visited 10 years ago, and decided we'd love here one day, and now we do!! Siesta Key and Lido beaches are our favorites because of the clean, cool white sand, and soft warm water.

Siesta Beach was once an undiscovered treasure, but since "winning" best beach, things have deteriorated greatly. There's less parking and more people. The city council decided in favor of a beautiful parking lot over a functional one with enough parking. In season and most weekends...More

Swimming in normal conditions is extremely safe. As always, children and non-swimmers should be closely supervised but in good weather, the water is calm. Lifeguards are posted in the public park area during set daytime... More

My son is going to siesta with 3 friends who are all 20 years old. I was just wondering what the police presence was like on the beach or in that area. They just plan to go and relax and drink some beer no partying or anything like that. Just a little something to end their first semester of college. Do people say much or would it be that big of a deal? If you are going to bash them for drinking then just don't comment no need for that.

I don't recall seeing police on the beach. However, I also do not know what the rules are there regarding alcohol on the beach. 21 is the legal drinking age in FL though.

I would start with a phone call to Beneva Flowers. They have a huge business providing flowers for beach weddings. I'm sure they would have recommendations for wedding planners.
